operation systems are just air conditions. when you open a WINDOW it stops working.

mufcsupporter1 July 30, 2010 at 3:42 pm

linux looks so cool !

VotreCauchemar July 30, 2010 at 5:29 pm

@Packetping Windows is the dominating company because it has been imposed to the costumers, for christ’sake!

staxjp July 30, 2010 at 6:12 pm

where did you get that skydome?

xmorg July 30, 2010 at 6:53 pm

@Paraclete333 Congratulations! You’re a genius among retards. Yeeey, now for some intelligence. If you fix other peoples computers for a living you kind of WISH they had updated anti-virus software the moment they bring it in for repair. But they don’t. AV slows your computer, doesn’t catch every virus and often there is a fine line between a virus, malware, spyware, scareware, scamware etc. You literally have to have 4 or 5 scanners running for the average user to even have a chance.

Paraclete333 July 30, 2010 at 7:45 pm

@xmorg Fuck You! Viruses, viruses, viruses. Get an ANTIVIRUS, dumbass!

Paraclete333 July 30, 2010 at 8:11 pm

@antoniomedina20061 No, Windows 8 will be released on 2012.

Packetping July 30, 2010 at 8:43 pm

I meant less than half the time. Mac and Linux are will never be a replacement for windows but a good solid alternative.

Packetping July 30, 2010 at 9:11 pm

@j0zh321

By PC’s I am assuming you mean Windows? as LinuX runs on a PC – Well Windows 7 is already at 17% market share in more than half the time Vista was. So they are more than keeping up.

j0zh321 July 30, 2010 at 9:12 pm

@Packetping fair enough but mac are gradually increasing and so is linux. pc’s just arent keeping un unfortunatly

Packetping July 30, 2010 at 10:10 pm

@j0zh321

Linux 1.9%
Mac 6.2%
1% others

Theres only one comapny that is dominating.

sirpazhan July 30, 2010 at 10:48 pm

whats up with all these videos having annoying music

j0zh321 July 30, 2010 at 11:13 pm

lets be serious hear. there are linux fanboys, there are pc fanboys and there are mac fanboys. they all believe there os’s is the best and will argue until they win. pc and mac are the leading os’s with linux third. linux is increasing in users but so is mac and the majority or people that are going off pc are going to mac people who go off mac’s go to pc. it is rare to find a linux user maybe thats because there just getting noticed but for now get use to pc and mac dominating

SirMetalGH July 30, 2010 at 11:17 pm

I’m a Linux fan AND a Windows fan. I use both to get what I need to do done. I find that Windows 7 has more “useful” effects, while Linux just has more eye candy. Also, Linux (Gnome) looks flat and 2D.

@cuddles2908 I just installed fusion. It just puts an icon up on your toolbar to make it easier to manage effects. Kinda handy, actually. Thanks.

jimboinlimbo July 30, 2010 at 11:54 pm

@cuddles2908 advanced desktop settings. I haven’t tried fusion, not sure what it is. maybe I’ll try it. After installing you can go to System/Preferences/CompizConfig settings manager to enable and disable what you like. I’m doing this from 9.10, so if you’re using 10.04 it might be a little different.

cuddles2908 July 30, 2010 at 11:59 pm

@jimboinlimbo i have compiz all ready installed but i cant find were the file is to open it

cuddles2908 July 31, 2010 at 12:06 am

@jimboinlimbo should i install compiz fushion icon or advanced desktop settings (ccsm)

jimboinlimbo July 31, 2010 at 12:19 am

@cuddles2908 Go to your ‘ubuntu software center’ under ‘applications”. Install “Compiz” (Compiz is who creates all these effects)

jimboinlimbo July 31, 2010 at 12:43 am

@jebril Forget it kid. Trying to get the Windows fanboys to try something else is like trying to convince a homosexual to give the ladies a try. You could extol the virtues of the pink palace as much as you like, but at the end of the day they still want their manwich.

kpwlek July 31, 2010 at 1:38 am

Sorry guys Windows 7 is good but…. all these features gadgets etc are taken mostly from compiz (linux) unfortunately MS developers sukc and have no their own ideas CRTl+C /crtl+V this is their daily job. and if we speak about DirectX and OpenGL. sorry there is nothing to compare. The same game works much faster on opengl.

need4speed402 July 31, 2010 at 1:38 am

@ThePC007 No, ubuntu has usless effects…
